Wrap (2016)

"Wrap" (2016) involves using abandoned agricultural tools still found in people's homes, such as wooden cowbells, plow blades, and plow handles. These objects are wrapped in promotional shirts given away with the purchase of fertilizer in rural areas and displayed in the form of a product showcase.
I drew inspiration from observing the attire of people in the area. Colorful shirts given away as promotional items from purchasing fertilizer or agricultural equipment, as well as those distributed during political campaigns, are worn almost like a daily uniform by rural people, whether at work or at leisure. Beyond serving as clothing, the prominent logos on the front, back, and pockets of these shirts act as advertisements for the fertilizer and equipment brands. The tight wrapping of these objects symbolizes how intertwined these elements are with the current way of life in rural areas.
